Three-dimensional quantum gravity with a cosmological constant can
be defined using the Turaev-Viro state sum model. This quantum gravity model
admits observables which are sources of matter along one dimensional
world-lines with interactions at vertices. This allows the definition of the
coupling of quantum gravity to Feynman diagrams of matter fields. Some
properties of this definition will be explained.
