Title: A model of a scalar field theory with Lorentz-invariant energy scale
Abstract: Using the idea from Deformed Special Relativity (which has been argued to represent the low-energy description of quantum gravity) that momentum space could be curved rather than flat, I will explain how to write down field theories that incorporate a new energy scale while explicitly preserving Lorentz invariance. The prescription will be applied to construct a deformed, interacting scalar field theory. I will discuss the implications of the deformation on the ultra-violet behavior of the theory, unitarity, and scattering amplitudes.
