A Discrete Machian Model: Fermions 
Abstract: 
A new model of quantum gravity phenomenology is discussed. This ``discrete
Machian model" is based on two
assumptions (i) nonuniformities in the overall matter distribution affect
the inertial properties of particles and (ii)
spatial geometry is discrete and random. Using the framework of effective
field theory, the fermionic sector is
developed. The resulting theory contains Lorentz invariance violating terms
and the nonrelativistic effects are explored.
